Stay in the loop with this handy Xbox app for mobile devices.
What you need to know
- Microsoft has debuted Xbox Events for iOS and Android.
- Now available for free in beta, it condenses streams, news, and trailers into a single app.
Microsoft has silently dropped a dedicated Xbox Events app for mobile devices, serving up a dedicated hub for its coming E3 2019 showcase and future Xbox One offerings. Newly-released on iOS and Android in beta, the Xbox Events app bundles the essentials to stay in the loop.
The Xbox Events app hosts official news in a centralized location for both attendees and those at home. Live streams, schedules, and trailers all hit the app, with push notifications delivering the latest to your lock screen. First kicking off with E3 2019 from June 9, the same hub will also extend to Gamescom in August, alongside the revived X0 fan event.
Framed as a beta release, the app currently serves little purpose, displaying a sole placeholder for the upcoming Microsoft E3 2019 briefing. However, with one week to go until the show, expect Microsoft soon push an update with full functionality.
